Shift your thinking. Griddox respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you play our sliding puzzle game.

1. What data we collect

Griddox is designed to be 100% local-first. We do not operate servers, and we never transmit your personal data off your device. However, we collect minimal data to improve your experience:

• Game progress & stats – best moves, best times, daily streak, total games played. All stored locally via SharedPreferences.
• Settings preferences – your chosen theme (Dark / Light / AMOLED), sound & vibration toggles, grid size preference.
• Advertising identifiers – if you consent, Google AdMob may collect a non-personal advertising ID to serve relevant banner and rewarded ads. This is processed by Google and subject to their privacy policy.

We never collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, contacts, photos, or any personally identifiable information (PII).

2. How we use your data

• Local gameplay – to save your progress, high scores, and settings so they persist between sessions.
• Ad delivery – to show banner ads during gameplay and rewarded video ads for extra hints. Ad serving is handled by Google Mobile Ads SDK; you can opt out of personalized ads via your device settings.
• Analytics (optional) – we may use aggregated, anonymized data to understand which features are popular (e.g., most played mode). No personal data is ever shared.

3. Third-party services

Griddox uses a few trusted third-party SDKs, all of which are privacy-conscious:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) – displays banner and rewarded video ads. Google Privacy Policy
• SharedPreferences – built-in Android/iOS local storage. No data leaves the device.
• audioplayers & vibration – purely device-side audio/haptic feedback. No data collection.

We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third party.

4. Children’s privacy

Griddox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

5. Data security

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Flutter’s secure SharedPreferences backed by Android’s Keystore / iOS Keychain. Since no data is transmitted, your privacy is inherently protected. We recommend keeping your device OS up to date for maximum security.

6. Your rights & choices

• Access & deletion – you can delete all game data by uninstalling the app, or via the “Reset Stats” option within the game Settings.
• Ad personalization – you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device’s Google settings (Android) or Privacy settings (iOS).
• Sound & haptics – you can disable audio and vibration at any time in the Settings panel.

7. Data retention

Your local game data is retained until you uninstall the app or manually clear the app data. If you uninstall, all stored preferences and stats are removed permanently.

8. Updates to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available within the app (via the Settings screen) and on our website. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or a prominent notice.
